HANNAH ON THE HIGH SEA, 2026

Hannah didn’t expect to start her first job at 70. Yet here she is, pouring wine and ushering guests to their seats in a small community theatre. When her coworker encourages her to watch a play Hannah finds herself strangely drawn to the story of the first woman to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel and survive. Inspired, she begins to test her own limits. When life at home gets complicated, and Hannah herself gets some bad news, she pushes these limits further than anyone could have expected.

Based on the novel ‘The Widows’ by Giller Prize winning author Suzette Mayr.
